Garry Collins
Welcome to my website

Who am I?
I am proud to have been born and live in the beautiful Island of Guernsey.

Public Office
I was elected a Vale Douzenier in 2016 and re-elected in 2020 to serve another four years until 2024. I was elected a Vale Deputy (Member of Parliament) in the number 7 seat between 2012 and 2016, that seat was removed when the States reduced from 45 to 38 members in 2016. I attended five Commonwealth Parliament Conferences representing Guernsey over that four-year period, with serving on three major committees during my time in the States: Commerce and Employment, Treasury and Resources and the Scrutiny Committee. I also currently attend the States of Elections on behalf of the Vale Parish.

Sport administration and achievements
I have been involved in voluntary sport administration since I was 18 years old and currently hold 18 roles over 10 different organisations. I was elected the World Bowls Regional Director for Europe in 2016 and re-elected in 2018 and 2020. I am a Vice President of the European Bowls Union, a previous British Isles President and currently President of Bowls Guernsey. I have competed at 34 international bowls events, winning 10 medals in total, 2 gold, 7 silver and 1 bronze, with also finishing in the top ten at the 2010 and 2014 Commonwealth Games. I am honoured to have received 9 sports awards over the last 20 years. Please click on my sport roles and achievement link to see my full profile.

My professional background is working within finance and accounting. I have held senior roles within treasury services, administration, banking and accounting, with my latest role being a Subscription Manager and Finance Officer.
